Going Green At Summerfest

MILWAUKEE - Summerfest is going green this year, and festival organizers are proud of the new things they're doing to help the environment.
There are a bunch of new ways you can help the environment at Summerfest.
Bike to Summerfest, and get first-rate parking. Need help? There's even a special biking map you can print to help you get there.
Drive a hybrid, and park for free at the Johnson Controls lot on east Buffalo Street.
Once you're at Summerfest, put your plastic in the right place. Summerfest added lots of extra recycling bins for your cups. Last year, visitors recycled five times more plastic than in 2006. The fest hopes to do even better this year.
Kids have a chance to go green too. Discovery World teaches new ways to be friends with the earth in the children's PlayZone.
Need a break? They're trying waterless urinals in some bathrooms. Estimated savings: 40,000 gallons of water a year.
