Businesses seek to boost image with Packers ties
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin businesses say being associated with the Green Bay Packers gives them a boost, even if they're just supplying the team's toilet paper.
Paper-products maker SCA is one of the latest companies to sign on with the Packers. The two reached an agreement earlier this month for SCA to supply Tork-brand toilet paper, paper towels, multifold towels and wipes in restrooms and concession areas at Lambeau Field.
SCA's brand and marketing communications director Cindy Stilp tells Gannett Wisconsin Media (http://gbpg.net/14xHimQ ) the agreement is a big deal for her company because the Packers have strong ties to the area.
Few team sponsors will put a value on the relationship -- at least publicly.
Shopko marketing executive Michael Cooper says it's more of a matter of improving how customers see his company.
