Packers NewsFan Submits Brett Favre Poem To TODAY'S TMJ4By Katie DeLong
A Brett Favre fan submitted a poem to TODAY'S TMJ4.
Here's what the fan writes:
All the Favre coverage has made me so nostalgic I had to write this poem. Maybe it can help other Packer fans deal with what we knew was inevitable...
Farewell to Four
Here I sit brokenhearted,
The era has ended and the darkness has started
A lifetime of Sundays could not give me more
Than the glorious memories of the man who wore ‘four’
The best arm, the best smile, the best attitude, yes
But something more made us all regress
To youthful dreams and hopes of a time
Where love of the game is all that’s sublime
He is every man’s and all women’s choice
Someone who’ll stand by you with stature and voice
Never letting you down on account of an ego
Enduring the pain with courage most regal
For all of us left to this fate without Favre
I wish you warm memories and hope you won’t starve
For a leap and a yell and cap worn askew
While you wait for the next Brett, so far and so few
