UW Looks Ahead to No. 5 Texas

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin, beaten twice by ranked teams early in the season, will get a chance to redeem itself Tuesday when No. 5 Texas comes to town.

The Badgers' (9-2) only two losses have come at the hands of ranked teams -- by No. 24 Marquette on Dec. 6 and No. 2 Connecticut on Nov. 24.

Coach Bo Ryan says Texas is a team everyone is familiar with. Ryan said at his weekly news conference on Monday that his team is anxious to see where it stands at this point in the season.

Wisconsin had a strong win in a tune up game Saturday with a 57-46 victory over Coppin State. Texas (9-2) is coming off a loss at home to Michigan State.

Wisconsin defeated Texas in a dramatic one-point win last season. The Badgers start Big Ten play on New Year's Eve against Michigan.
