MEQUON - Hall of Fame slugger Hank Aaron will receive an honorary law degree Saturday from Concordia University.

The former home-run king also will deliver the commencement speech at the school in southeast Wisconsin.

School officials say they're recognizing Aaron for inspiring the nation through his leadership in baseball. They also credit him for creating the Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation, which mentors children and helps them develop their artistic and athletic talents.

Aaron played for the Milwaukee Braves, Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers. His 755 career home runs were a record until last year, when Barry Bonds finished the season with 762.

Aaron is a vice president with the Atlanta Braves.
