MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers' best slugger the last few years has missed about two weeks of action due to a thumb injury which inhibits his ability to get power in his swing.
Tuesday, he'll try to test that thumb, according to a published report.
"To swing the bat," as the Journal Sentinel story says, does not mean he'll automatically be in the lineup.
He tested himself in a batting practice two weeks ago before recognizing he needed time off from the lineup to heal his thumb.
We'll find out if the thumb has healed well enough for him to join the lineup again Tuesday.
