Local SportsSanders Talking to Defense About Sunday's LossGREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers defensive coordinator Bob Sanders brought his unit together to go over every mistake that was made on the field in last Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. Sanders says his players know what happened, why it happened and the way it happened, so that they can move forward. Coach Mike McCarthy is backing Sanders, saying the players need to execute better after giving up 549 yards against the Texans. Sanders is a carryover from Mike Sherman's staff. In his first season, the Packers ranked 12th in yards allowed and 25th in points allowed. In '07, they ranked 11th in yards and sixth in points. ------ Information from: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, http://www.jsonline.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
