GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Packers coach Mike McCarthy says his team takes precautions that help prevent the recent drug-related suspensions handed out to six other players.

The six play for the Vikings, Saints and Texans. They were suspended after testing positive for a banned diuretic, which was in a dietary supplement they took.

NFL rules say players are responsible for everything they ingest. So McCarthy has his players check with two strength coaches before taking anything that could put them at risk for suspension.

Linebacker Brandon Chillar has no sympathy for the suspended players. He says the rules are clear about taking personal responsibility for what players put in their body.

McCarthy says his team hasn't had a problem so far, and hopefully things will stay that way.
