Kretz takes third-round lead at State Amateur BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) -- Kelly Kretz of Antigo fired a 3-under-par 69 today to take the lead after three rounds of the State Amateur golf tournament at Old Hickory Golf Club in Beaver Dam. Kelly started the day three strokes behind co-leaders Danny Zimmerman of Verona and Ben Bendtsen III of Racine. He finished with a 210 total and 1-stroke lead over Zimmerman, who shot a 73. Bendtsen had a 75 for a 213 total -- good enough for third place, a stroke ahead of Jordan Elsen of Kenosha, who shot a 74. Missing from the third-round field for the first time in 40 years was six-time State Amateur champion Mark Bemowski of Mukwonago. He failed to make the cut after a two-round total of 11-over 155.
