Raw Video: Packers Fan Moves From Australia To Green Bay

By Katie DeLong

GREEN BAY - He moved from Australia to Green Bay just for the Packers. Now, one super fan's 9,000 mile trip has led him to the NFC Championship on Sunday. Wayne Scullino calls himself a "once-in-a-lifetime" fan. He's from Australia, where people don't really watch American football. But he saw a Packers game on TV when he was 12, and he was hooked. Now, he's about to see them play for a shot at the Super Bowl. "Playoffs at Lambeau Field in January, it's awesome! The hype, the buzz, it's insane," Scullino says in a video he taped while in the stands at the Packers-Seahawks game. Click on the link under related content to see an interview with Wayne Scullino. Wayne Scullino can't believe he's in Green Bay. "This is the most amazing place in the world to watch any sort of football," Scullino said. Wayne made a decision that some would call crazy. He quit his job in Australia, and moved with his wife and kids to Green Bay, just so he could be there for the entire Packers season. What a season he picked. Not only has he been able to go to nearly every game, he'll be at Lambeau Field for the NFC Championship." "Living in Green Bay has been the greatest four or five month stint we could have done, it's been incredible," Scullino said. Wayne posts videos from each game online on his website and YouTube. Now, thousands of people watch his videos every day. After the Packers latest win, Wayne’s had a tough time finding the right words. “Since then I’ve had this feeling in my stomach, I don't know if I’m happy, or elated, or nervous," Scullino said. Whatever happens in Sunday’s game against the Giants, Wayne plans to go back to Australia after the Super Bowl. TODAY’S TMJ4’s Michael George: "What's next for you?" "Well, we're lucky, as you said we've been documenting this the whole way, so I’ve always wanted to be a writer, so I’m going to try my hand at putting it all together and releasing a book," Scullino said. Wayne says his wife's not really a football fan, so he goes to most of the games alone, but he says it's been a great experience.
