LJ a Long Shot, But Packers Still Watching

By Lance Allan

The Packers trading for Chiefs running back Larry Johnson is a long shot...but it's still more than no shot.

Today's TMJ4 Sports Anchor Lance Allan was told by an NFL source that the Packers are keeping a very close eye on the Larry Johnson situation in Kansas City.  Especially with Scouts Inc. recently ranking the Packers current backfield of Vernand Morency and Brandon Jackson the worst in the NFL.  For Lance's take on bringing LJ to Green Bay, just click here.

Larry Johnson is in the last year of his Chiefs contract.  The running back threatening to hold out of training camp, because he wants LaDanian Tomlinson type money, around 60 million dollars.

Kansas City would also want a high draft pick, possibly a first rounder.  But the Packers do have plenty of salary cap room.  Bottom line, it's close to fantasy, but this could be the big offensive move the Packers are considering.
