MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers placed right-handed reliever David Riske on the 15-day disabled list because of a tight right elbow and will bring up lefthander R.J. Swindle to take his place.

The move was made retroactive to April 10. Riske will travel with the team to New York for its weekend series with the Mets, then will head to Los Angeles for a second opinion.

Milwaukee recalled Swindle from its Triple-A Nashville affiliate, and he will be in uniform for Friday's game against the Mets. Swindle has allowed only two hits in three outings this season.
