MILWAUKEE (AP) -- With Bucks star Michael Redd back from an ankle sprain, guard Charlie Bell may finally get a chance to rest his own sore ankle.

Bell had off-season surgery on the ankle and says it's still painful whenever he gets out of bed every morning.

He says it's been affecting his scoring, and it's frustrating that fans don't realize he's playing in so much discomfort.

Bell thinks he might have hindered the healing process when he played so many extra minutes during Redd's 14-game absence.

Coach Scott Skiles has hinted that it might be time to give Bell some rest. He says the team is taking a "wait-and-see" approach.

Bell has started 14 games. He's averaging 7.5 points while shooting 38 percent from the floor.
