Romo's Random Acts of Kindness II: Tony and the Homeless Man

By Jay Sorgi

Burlington, Wisconsin's own Tony Romo, who is possibly more famous for dating singer Jessica Simpson than for his exploits as the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, is also gaining a positive reputation for acting as a role model.

This time, it's for being present to a homeless man while preparing to watch a movie with the exact title of "Role Model."

While in line with a friend to go to the movie, Romo saw a homeless man named Doc who was cashing in change at the counter.

Romo offered to buy him a ticket to the movie and sit next to him.

When Doc stated that he hadn't showered in days, Romo responded that he was "used to locker rooms."

They proceeded to watch the movie together, and as the Dallas Morning News puts it, "shared laughs for 90 minutes."

Two months ago, Romo took care of a flat tire for a family stranded on a Dallas-area freeway.
