Packers QB Rodgers not playing in Pro Bowl due to injuries
MILWAUKEE - Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not take part in the Pro Bowl in Hawaii this year.
Rodgers said on his radio program on ESPN Milwaukee Tuesday that he failed his end of season exit physical due to multiple lower extremity injuries, including an ankle issue.
He did not elaborate on the extent or severity of the injuries. Rodgers was on the injury report four times this season, three for a calf and once (week 16) for an ankle.
Rodgers was set to be the NFC's starting quarterback.
He apologized to any Packers fans going out to Hawaii to see the Pro Bowl for his absence. Last year, Rodgers criticized the Pro Bowl for soft play.
He also said he has no plans right now to attend the Super Bowl.
