TODAY'S TMJ4 complete interview
Rodgers says Packers pass protection 'needs to improve'
GREEN BAY - In this week's installment of Aaron Rodgers 1-on-1, the Packers quarterback discussed his belief that the Packers' pass protection "needs to improve."
"Teams are bringing just four rushers the majority of the game," explained Rodgers in his exclusive TODAY'S TMJ4 conversation with Packers voice Wayne Larrivee.
"They're OK with rushing four, dropping seven, trying to play as tight as they can. If they're going to do that, we're going to have to extend some plays and be able to have those passing lanes. It's something we need to get cleaned up a little bit."
He did cite the possible return of Josh Sitton and Chad Clifton as a potential help to the offensive line.
The Packers allowed four sacks in their 46-16 triumph over the Oakland Raiders.
Rodgers and Larrivee discussed a lot more subjects, everything from Greg Jennings' injury and the need for Jermichael Finley to step up, the possibility of going undefeated this season and the possible drug suspension of his friend, Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun.
