Rodgers on 12/12/12 as day honoring him - 'We'd better have a big party'
GREEN BAY - The quarterback of the Green Bay Packers says that "we'd better have a big party" in response to the effort of a woman from Stevens Point to turn December 12th, 2012 into a day celebrating the Packers' No. 12.
Jennifer Brilowski of Stevens Point has organized a Facebook effort called "Let's Make 12/12/12 Aaron Rodgers Day."
Rodgers said that he had not heard of the effort, because he is more of a Twitter user (on the account @aaronrodgers12 which he uses) and not a regular Facebook user.
In a tongue-in-cheek way, he cited a possible issue with ancient predictions of the end of the world around that time.
"Have they checked with the Mayan calendar? Are we still going to be around at that point?" he asked Wayne Larrivee in their exclusive TODAY'S TMJ4 conversation.
When Larrivee told him that Dec. 12, 2012 was nine days before the Mayan prediction of the world's end, Rodgers responded, "We'd better have a big party, then."
