Brewers Put Colome on DLWASHINGTON (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers placed right-handed pitcher Jesus Colome on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a strained right forearm. The move is retroactive to Aug. 18. Colome, who was let go by the Washington Nationals on July 4, is 1-1 with a 7.59 ERA in 21 games. With Milwaukee, he's 0-0 with a 5.68 ERA in five games. The Brewers purchased the contract of left-handed pitcher Chris Narveson from Triple-A Nashville. It will be Narveson's second stint with Milwaukee this season. He was 0-0 with an 8.44 ERA in nine games. Narveson is 4-4 with a 3.70 ERA with Nashville. To make room for Narveson on the 40-man roster, the Brewers designated catcher Carlos Corporan for assignment. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
