UW Hoops To Open Big Ten vs. Ohio State

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin will open its Big Ten basketball schedule at home for the first time in three seasons when the Badgers host Ohio State.

The Dec. 31 meeting is the first time the teams will meet to open conference play since 1978.

Wisconsin will also host Michigan State on Feb. 2 after the Spartans didn't travel to Madison last season.

Coach Bo Ryan's Badgers have never lost to Michigan State at home, going a perfect 6-0.

Other UW Schedule Highlights:
• Nov. 23-25: Maui Invitational
• Dec. 2nd: Duke (at Kohl Center)
• Dec. 12th: Marquette (at Kohl Center)

The two Big Ten teams Wisconsin will face only once in the 2009-10 regular season are Minnesota and Iowa.

The Badgers travel to Minneapolis on Feb. 18 and host the Hawkeyes on March 3.
