Jeter To Assist Ryan at World University Games
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee coach Rob Jeter will help Wisconsin basketball coach Bo Ryan at this summer's World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.
University of Miami coach Frank Haith was also been selected to assist Ryan with the USA Under-23 team.
Jeter served four years as an assistant under Ryan at Wisconsin. Jeter also played for Ryan at Platteville and was captain of the Pioneers team that won the 1991 NCAA Division III title.
Among the players competing for a spot will be Marquette forward Lazar Hayward and Purdue forward Robbie Hummel.
The U.S. has earned 13 gold medals in 18 World University Games appearances. This year's tournament will be held July 2-July 12.
