3 Years for Break-In of ex-Packer's House

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A three-year prison term was ordered Friday for a man accused of breaking into the home of former Green Bay Packers running back Noah Herron, only to have the athlete knock out a second intruder with a bed post.

Twenty-one-year-old Joel Mullin-Romo of Green Bay pleaded no contest in January to three counts of burglary involving Herron's condo and two other homes.

Also charged is 32-year-old Yeshua Tate of Green Bay, who faces nine counts of burglary in the Herron break-in and eight others.

Records show Herron was home during the break-in at his home, and when Tate came in an upstairs bedroom, he knocked the intruder unconscious with the bed post. Mullin-Romo was captured nearby.

Herron was released by the Packers last August. He recently signed with the Cleveland Browns.
