Beer Vendor Selected for Packers Hall of FameGREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Lambeau Field had only been around for a few years when Allan Hale started selling beer at the football stadium. The 70-year-old beer vendor has been selected as the eleventh member of the Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame. Hale, who lives in Green Bay, was selected from a group of ten finalists by fans voting online and in person. Hale works a section behind the visitors' bench -- the same section that he started working in 1963, when Vince Lombardi was in the midst of bringing five NFL championships to Green Bay. It was a Packers fan who sits in Hale's section, Dave O'Brien of Prairie du Sac, that nominated him for the hall. Hale wins four club seats to the game between the Packers and the Detroit Lions, a $500 Packers Pro Shop gift certificate and a road trip to a 2009 game. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
