Sun. Final: UW Women 61, Illinois 43MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Alyssa Karel led three Badgers in double figures as Wisconsin defeated Illinois 61-43 Sunday evening at the Kohl Center. Karel scored 15 points, while Teah Grant had 11 and Mariah Dunham added 10 for Wisconsin (14-5, 4-4 Big Ten), which led the entire game. It was the teams' second meeting in less than three weeks. Jenna Smith led Illinois (4-15, 0-8) with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Lacey Thompson had 11 points and 12 rebounds. The Badgers shot 47 percent from the field compared with 39 percent for the Illini, who are still searching for their first Big Ten win this season. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
