Brewers Surpass 2M Tickets Sold
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers sold their 2 millionth ticket on Tuesday.
That's the earliest the franchise reached the milestone since April 19, 2001. Last season, the Brewers drew over 3 million fans but didn't reach 2 million sold until April 24.
Brewers vice president Rick Schlesinger says ticket sales have been encouraging after last season's playoff run. He recommends fans plan ahead for games they want to see this summer.
At the home opener on April 10 against the Cubs, the Brewers drew 45,455 fans -- the second largest crowd for a game in Miller Park.
