Fri. Final: UMSM 4, UW Hockey 3
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -- Jerad Stewart's goal with 1:46 remaining in overtime gave Minnesota State, Mankato, a 4-3 victory over No. 16 Wisconsin on Friday.
The Mavericks trailed 3-1 late in the second period before coming back to tie the game with goals by Trevor Bruess and Kael Mouillierat.
Mouillierat's power-play goal with 4:37 remaining in the third came less than a minute after a Wisconsin goal by Tom Gorowsky, which would have given the Badgers a 4-2 lead, was disallowed after video replay.
Wisconsin defenseman Brendan Smith had a goal and two assists.
Badgers goaltender Shane Connelly stopped 22 shots. Mike Zacharias stopped 23 for the Mavericks (14-15-4, 10-13-2 WCHA), who snapped a three-game winless streak.
The loss was the third in a row for Wisconsin (16-14-3, 13-10-3).
