Sun. Final: MU Women 79, West Virginia 59
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Erin Monfre sank seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 21 points as Marquette beat West Virginia 79-59 on Sunday.
Monfre's 3-pointers broke an Al McGuire Center record and tied a Marquette program record. Six of her seven 3-pointers came in the second half.
Krystal Ellis, who led the Golden Eagles with 25 points, also sank all three of her 3-pointers in the second half. Freshman Jessica Pachko posted her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles (14-11) were down 33-31 early in the second half but went on a 10-0 run to go ahead 41-33.
Liz Repella led the Mountaineers (14-10) with 20 points.
