Sun. Final: UW Women 58, Michigan 54MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Mariah Dunham scored 17 points to lead three Badgers in double figures as Wisconsin nearly blew a 16-point lead but held on for a 58-54 win over Michigan on Sunday. Dunham was 7-of-9 from the field for Wisconsin (13-4, 3-3 Big Ten). Rae Lin D'Alie added 15 points on 6-of-6 shooting from the field. Alyssa Karel finished with 10 points, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Melinda Queen and Veronica Hicks had 12 points each for Michigan (9-7, 2-3). The Badgers led by 16 with 6:11 left, but the Wolverines scored seven unanswered points to pull within nine points, 53-44, with 2:47 left. Michigan shot just 18-of-56 from the field (32.1 percent), while Wisconsin was 22-of-51 (43.1 percent). The Wolverines had a 39-34 rebounding advantage. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
