Brett Favre introduced as a New York Jet. SI: Favre Tells Jets GM To Look For New QBBy By Jay SorgiMILWAUKEE - The latest episode of "Tractor Watch: New York" is giving Brett Favre fans reason to believe that the former Packers quarterback is possibly retiring, again. In a report by Sports Illustrated's Peter King, Favre apparently told New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum that "it might be time for the organization to look in a different direction at quarterback." Favre's Jets finished 1-4 in the team's last seven games and missed the NFL playoffs after owning the best record in the AFC East for much of the second half of the season. In those five games, Favre threw for two touchdown passes and nine interceptions. Last week, some Jets teammates, including running back Thomas Jones, explained their opinion on Favre's performance near the end of the season, and an anonymous teammate stated his dissatisfaction at Favre's role in the Jets' locker room. |
