Wed. Final: UWM Women 63, MU Women 62MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Traci Edwards scored 21 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as Wisconsin-Milwaukee edged Marquette, 63-62, on Wednesday. Lindsay Laur had 15 points for Wisconsin-Milwaukee (5-6) and Jineen Williams added 10. Jessica Pachko led Marquette (9-5) with 12 points and eight rebounds, and Paige Fiedorowicz and Angel Robinson each had 10. Marquette led by as many as 13 in the first half and went into halftime leading 30-23. But Wisconsin-Milwaukee outscored the home team 40-32 in the second half. Edwards played all 40 minutes for the Panthers. The center made 8-of-11 shots, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range.
