Report: Mike Nolan Won't Be Packers' Defensive Coordinator

A report says that the guy the Packers seemingly wanted to run their defense more than any other will be running the Denver Broncos' defense.

The NFL Network reports that former San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan will take the job to work for new coach Josh McReynolds.

The Packers are looking for a new defensive coordinator after firing Bob Sanders and five other assistant coaches on January 5th.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says that former Buffalo Bills head coach Greg Williams and Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach Sean McDermott are the new leading candidates.

Williams spoke with the Packers on Friday, but McDermott cannot talk to other teams until the Eagles are eliminated from the playoffs.

Philadelphia defeated the New York Giants on Sunday to reach the NFC Championship game against Arizona next weekend.
