Official Rules

How to Enter the Contest:

To participate in the contest, viewers must watch “Live at Daybreak” on TODAY’S TMJ4 from 5:00am – 7:00am on Thursday, April 24th – Thursday, May 22rd. On each of these days a “HD phrase of the day” will be displayed on a banner and the anchors will also announce the “HD phrase of the day”. Viewers must log on to www.todaystmj4.com and go to the contest page to register to win. Only entries with the correct “HD phrase of the day” will be eligible to win. Viewers can enter once a day for all twenty-one days.

All entries must be received by Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 12pm Noon.

Viewers who do not have email access may mail or drop off a postcard at TODAY’S TMJ4 station that includes their full name, address, age, phone number and the “HD phrase of the day”. Post cards should be sent to: TODAY’S TMJ4 Great May Giveway, 720 East Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53212. Postcards must be received before 12pm Noon on Thursday, May 22, 2008.

Four winners will be selected by random drawings from those entries submitted with the correct “HD phrase of the day.” One winner will be selected on each of the following days: Friday, May 2, 2008; Friday, May 9, 2008; Friday, May 16, 2008 and Friday, May 23, 2008. The winners will be announced on TODAY’S TMJ4 “Live at Daybreak” show.

WTMJ-TV, Journal Broadcast Group, Journal Communications, American TV, their employees and agents are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, misaddressed, postage due or illegible entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.

Broadcasts are subject to preemptions and scheduling changes. If such changes occur, they will be posted on the www.todaystmj4.com website.

Odds of winning depend on number of entries.

2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) The contest is open to Wisconsin State residents who are 21 years of age or older and live in the viewing areas of WTMJ-TV. Employees of WTMJ-TV, Journal Broadcast Group, Journal Communications, and American TV, other television and radio stations in the Milwaukee, WI markets, and their affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising agencies and their immediate family members are ineligible to participate or win.

(b) Viewers are eligible to win a WTMJ-TV contest only once every sixty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest. Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.

(c) All entries become the sole property of WTMJ-TV and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and represent that their entry is their original work.

3. Prizes:
(a) Four (4) winners will each receive a Samsung 40” LN40A550 1080p LCD HDTV.

Approximate value of prize is $1500.00.

(b) All prizes or prize certificates need to be picked up at the office of WTMJ-TV, 720 East Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53212. An appointment must be made to pick up this prize.

4. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner and winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 or equivalent from the JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP.
(b) Winner must provide Social Security Number and sufficient identification.
(c) By accepting the prize, each winner grants to Station the right to use the winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law).
(d) Winner, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release and hold harmless Contest Sponsors, their respective parents and subsidiaries, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity.
(e) Decisions of judges are final.
(f) There are no prize or cash substitutions by prize winner.
(g) Station reserves the right to substitute prizes as necessary and make changes in the rules of the contest, which will become effective upon announcement.
(h) Non-compliance with these rules may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
(i) Winner, by acceptance of their prizes, understand that any incidentals arising from the receipt of this prize will be their responsibility and not the responsibility of the Contest Sponsors, their respective parents and subsidiaries, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies.

6. No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited by law.

7. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification.

8. Limit of one entry per household and/or email address per day.
