Raw Video: OpenSky Police Radio News Conferences
MILWAUKEE - An activist group is expressing concern with the Milwaukee Police Department's new radio system after examining more than 200 reports of communication problems between dispatchers and officers. But some say the group's concern is more about politics than safety.
When an officer was shot serving a search warrant last September, dispatchers had to try three times to tell backup units where to go because of problems with the OpenSky radio system. It's one of many examples given by Citizens for Responsible Government at a news conference on Thursday.
