MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department arrested Muskego Police officer Gary Leon for drunk driving early Sunday morning.

Leon is now suspended with pay from the Muskego Police Department while the department conducts an investigation.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Leon was speeding on I-794 near Car Ferry Drive early Sunday morning.  The agency said Leon attempted to pass a marked State Patrol squad car and was pulled over.

A Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy conducted field sobriety tests on Leon after officers suspected he was intoxicated.   The State Patrol said Leon admitted to drinking "two beers" and then blew a 0.11 blood alcohol level.

When reached at his Milwaukee home Tuesday, Leon would only say, "I have no comment, I have a lawyer, speak to him please."  A call to that attorney was not returned Tuesday afternoon.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney's office said it reviewed the civil forfeiture case.  Leon is scheduled to make a court appearance on July 12.
