A Milwaukee Police officer, busted for a second drunk driving offense, will head to a jail cell for 90 days later this summer as part of a plea deal.
Matthew Truman received the sentence as part of a plea-sentencing deal after being busted for driving drunk in January.
TODAY'S TMJ4 HD's Jay Olstad reports from the courtroom that the judge called Truman's actions disappointing.
"If you drink, don't drive, and if you drive, don't drink" said Judge Dominic Amato.
"You're a police officer. You should know better. You're supposed to set an example, correct? Correct. You didn't do a very good job at that, setting an example."
The 90 day sentence was more than the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office wanted. Truman has already gone through alcohol treatment.
