Car Insurance Law Starts Today
MILWAUKEE - Starting today, people driving a car in Wisconsin have to have auto insurance and proof of it in their car, or they'll be breaking the law.
Still, a good chunk of people in the state - about 15% - don't have it.
Andy Franken is the President of the Wisconsin Insurance Alliance. He told the Journal Sentinel that there will always be a percentage of people who don't have auto insurance, and when the economy worsens, more people will choose not to have it.
