2 Arrested After Riverside Lockdown

  • Print

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police say two students have been arrested on felony charges after a lockdown at Riverside High School.

Police say the arrests stem from the discovery of explosive devices placed around the school.  Police say one of the devices actually exploded.  Investigators aren't elaborating about those devices.

MPS Spokeswoman Roseann St. Aubin initially said the devices were not hazardous.

St. Aubin said the devices appeared to be in bottles.  School staff noticed the bottles, which were placed around the school, were foaming.

The school called the Milwaukee Police and Fire Departments.  The all clear was given and students were dismissed as scheduled at 2:40.
