Favre Told He Needs Surgery

Brett Favre has told ESPN that he has to have surgery on his ankle. Favre injured himself during the NFC Championship game between the Vikings and Saints at the end of last season.
Favre told ESPN his ankle is still painful and swollen. An orthopedic surgeon reportedly did some tests on Favre's bum ankle and told him surgery is unavoidable.
No word on whether Favre's schedule any kind of medical procedure.
Favre has not said if he plans to return to the field with the Vikings this fall.
