Local NewsUWM Sex Assault Suspect Pleads Not GuiltyBy Dan O'DonnellMILWAUKEE - The man accused of sexually assaulting a UWM student and a teenage girl and stalking another teenager pleaded not guilty Thursday. Joel Hoffmann, 31, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on nine felony charges, including first and second degree sexual assault, child enticement, kidnapping, burglary, and stalking. Prosecutors allege that he burst into a UWM student's apartment and assaulted her earlier this month. He is also accused of assaulting a 16-year-old girl and stalking a 14-year-old girl last year. Hoffmann's next court appearance is scheduled for next month. If he is convicted on all nine charges, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
