Plea Deal in Sheboygan Gas Station Crash
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) -- A Sheboygan County prosecutor says a plea deal has been reached with a man accused of killing a gas station clerk by backing his minivan through a large window.
Eighteen-year-old Emily Hughes was killed last July as she stood behind the counter at the Pig Stop in Sheboygan. Police say 32-year-old Jeremy Pfister was driving the minivan from the passenger seat when he backed through the side of the building and struck Hughes. Pfister's wife was inside the store paying for gas. Pfister's three children in the van were not injured.
The Sheboygan Press reports that Pfister is due in court Tuesday. He earlier pleaded not guilty to negligent homicide.
District Attorney Joe DeCecco (deh-CHEK'-oh) declined to provide details of the plea agreement.
