Local NewsFog Hampers Milwaukee-Area TravelBy Melissa McCrady with Jay SorgiMILWAUKEE - The dense fog that fell across Southeastern Wisconsin on Tuesday proved to be a hassle for travelers all over, whether flying to and from Mitchell International or traversing dangerous driving conditions for the morning commute. The heavy fog caused problems all across the region, including Sheboygan County where two semis and a jeep got into a crash which caused a diesel fuel spill. Truck drivers in Milwaukee also had a stressful morning commute. "You have to be prepared for what you see," said truck driver Dave Garrick. The weather also canceled and delayed several flights coming in and out of Mitchell International Airport. "It's no big deal," said Paul Meyer, who had his flight delayed. "One hour. I'll get home today. If I had to spend the night it'd be a different story. It's part of the deal with traveling." |
