Little Girl Lives Normal Life after Surviving Plunge in Lake Winnebago
She survived a horrific plunge into a frozen Lake Winnebago. At just seven years old, doctors say it was amazing Tiffany Dombrowski is still with her family.
And it happened one year ago.
Like a lot of 8 year olds, Tiffany loves to play games. Her favorite movie is typical of second graders.
"High School Musical 3, said Tiffany."
Last year she was in a pickup truck with her friend Savannah when it broke through the Lake Winnebago ice. It was driven by her friend's father Dan Kleinhans. Tiffany was the sole survivor.
"I'm happy she doesn't have any memories that way. I wouldn't want her to have nightmares every night, said Michael Dombrowski."
No memories but lingering worries for her parents. Tiffany spent weeks in the hospital and still suffers from brain damage but she is making remarkable progress.
"The doctors are excited about how well she has done so far they've never seen anyone do this well, said Jennifer Dombrowski"
Well enough to challenge her brothers and sisters in Wii and to live a normal life.
"The real miracle for us is Tiffany is so much back to normal, said her father."
Tiffany's family credits the emergency workers for saving their daughter's life. she has been back to the Lake and has no memory of what happened.
