Man Convicted of Killing Puppy in Oven
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- A 32-year-old Green Bay man has been convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend's puppy by putting it in a hot oven.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported that the jury spent about an hour deliberating Thursday before reaching a verdict in the November 2008 case against Terry Kleiman.
Kleiman is accused of breaking into the woman's apartment. When the woman returned later, she found her apartment filled with smoke and the dog's body in the oven. It was a 5-month-old Pekinese/poodle puppy named Hulk.
He was convicted of felony charges of burglary and mistreatment of animals and could face up to 16 years in prison.
