MILWAUKEE- Police are continuing to investigate a double murder on Milwaukee's south side in which a married couple was murdered, and their son is reportedly behind bars.

Police were called to the scene around 1 a.m. Sunday. It happened at a home near 10th and Lincoln.

When officers arrived, they discovered the bodies of a man and woman in their 50s, according to a statement by Milwaukee Police. Neighbors believe the victims are a married couple who had lived in the home for years.

"It's scary. It really makes me sick. The time we've lived here, the neighborhood has had its share of problems, but nothing like this. It's really frightening," said neighbor Tim Gregoire.

Police arrested a 34-year-old man at the scene who is reportedly the couple's son.  He lived with his parents.

Neighbors who spoke with TODAY'S TMJ4 did not know the victims well.

"The whole time I lived here I saw them outside maybe a handful of times. They pretty much kept to themselves," Gregoire said.

"It's crazy to think somebody got killed two houses down from me. It's not right. It's unfortunate that something like that had to happen," said neighbor Jason Belt.
