Brookfield Woman Killed in Minnesota Crash

WINONA, Minn. - The Minnesota State Patrol says a Wisconsin woman died after rolling her car through the median on I-90 in Winona County, where a semi then hit the car.

According to KARE-TV, 34-year-old Jessica Lin of Brookfield, Wis., was driving west on I-90 around 5 a.m. Saturday when she lost control, rolled through the median and ended up in the eastbound traffic lanes.

While her car was lying there, a 2007 Kenworth semi smashed into the 2001 Honda Accord.

Max Sharp, 54, of Preston, Idaho, was driving the semi and he was not hurt. 

Lin, who was not wearing her seat belt, was killed in the crash.

Lin was a surgical resident at the Medical College of Wisconsin. 

Winona County is just west of La Crosse.
