Hearing in Kim Smith Murder-for-Hire Case
WAUKESHA - Two men accused of hiring a hitman to kill a woman from Oconomowoc were scheduled to be in court Wednesday morning.
A preliminary hearing was to be held for Jack Johnson and Darren Wold.
Wold is the ex-boyfriend of the victim, Kim Smith.
A third suspect, Justin Welch, is charged with murdering Smith.
He had escaped authorities who were transporting him from California to Wisconsin, but a manhunt led to him being re-apprehended.
