3rd Milwaukee Co-Sleeping Death in 17 Days
MILWAUKEE - A five-month-old girl is the latest child to die in a recent series of co-sleep deaths in Milwaukee.
Megan Borchart was pronounced dead Sunday.
A Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's report said that her mother, Jacquelyn, had been drinking alcohol.
She told authorities that when she had gone to bed with the baby, a blanket had been pulled up to Megan's waist and pillows were a few inches away from her.
Jacquelyn also said she had put the baby on her back in the bed.
It's the 3rd co-sleeping death since Christmas Day in Milwaukee, a short time before a city-wide safe sleep campaign began.
