Effort to Save Christian School in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - A local school needs a Christmas miracle.
Heritage Christian Schools is in dire straits.
The private school group in Milwaukee and Brookfield has to raise a lot of money, and fast, to stay open through the end of this school year.
HCS is asking for people to donate, even just a dollar, to help keep the lights on.
They've even created a web site called "Please Save Our School."
"I'm scared that they won't make it past this year, and I'm worried about where would i have to go next," said sophomore Tracy Mamerow.
The school has to raise $700,000 by next Friday and more than $1,000,000 by June.
It's also looking for outside donors.
