Homeless Shelter Provides to the Needy

MILWAUKEE - Food, a warm home, and family.

For some, it's what they long for.

On this Thanksgiving Day, some people finally get to have it.

Eggs, biscuits, sausage, and camaraderie. It's a Thanksgiving Day morning tradition.

For the men at Repairers of the Breach it's the only one they have.

"They've lost their houses and… it's getting to be cold and we are always open to help the homeless," explained Antonio Woods.

Repairers of the Breach in Milwaukee has been helping feed and shelter the homeless for a long time.

It's that dedication that inspired Woods to go from the streets, to working there, "All we do is give to the homeless and that's what I love to do," Woods said.

And the shelter is doing it all day. From Thanksgiving breakfast to the turkey, the shelter will provide.

"A whole lot of people don't have families and we are all a big family and we want them to have a Thanksgiving dinner like everyone else does," says Woods.

It's that giving that makes the people in need so thankful.

The shelter provided a Thanksgiving dinner through the afternoon hours.
