Last Minute Shoppers Hit Local Stores
MILWAUKEE - People were shopping at the Pick 'n Save in Bayview as early as 3 in the morning this Thanksgiving.
Most of the people shopping today are just out for a last minute item they forgot. "A lot of people are getting things to complete their recipes," said Roundy's spokeswoman Vivian King.
Still, King says every year some people come in at the last minute to buy a frozen turkey. She's not sure how they get it defrosted and cooked in time.
Most grocery stores open on Thanksgiving, but close by the afternoon.
