Local NewsKenosha Man Arrested for Child PornBy Jay OlstadKENOSHA - At the Willow Hills Apartments in Kenosha, some people know 53-year-old Kevin Derks as the guy who lived in apartment 2. But it's what allegedly went on behind his apartment door that has neighbor Pinky Friedrich stunned. "I just about fell of my couch. It's like I can't believe this," said Friedrich. "He was just a really quiet nice person to me." According to Kenosha Police he was anything but. Investigators found hundreds of child porn images in his apartment. Not to mention, child and adult-sized mannequins placed in sexual positions, according to the Kenosha News. The paper also reports, police found 100 DVD's of child pornography and on some of them, investigators claim there were pictures of children that Derks snapped at area beaches. "It's a shock to me," said Bob Oglesby. He brings his kids to a beach not far from where Derks lives. "You see people down here taking pictures all the time of birds and now you got to wonder if they're taking pictures of your kids or they're taking pictures of you," he said. Derks is behind bars after police confronted him at his apartment this week. Court records allege, police questioned Derks in the basement of his apartment complex after he refused to let them in his apartment. When they asked him about pornographic pictures, he apparently fainted hitting his head on the ground and was taken to the hospital where he was arrested. In the affidavit, one neighbor claims he is an "electronic wizard" and "very secretive" not allowing anyone in his apartment. Derks will most likely be formerly charged Monday.
